about

'The Painful Places Will All Fly From Me' was originally released in the fall of 2010. The release was initially conceived as a collection of demos, but now feels more fitting as an independent release in and of itself. In a certain sense, it's as fitting a punctuation at the end of the JB&F sentence as anything could be, finding the songs naked and lonely as they had been in the very first place, but with a certain sense of bittersweet, hopeful passing. All songs written by Jakob Battick in the summer of 2010 except 'Can't Stand Me Now' (by Doherty/Barât and originally performed by The Libertines.)

This album was released physically in two limited handmade runs on CD-R, both in editions of thirty or less on recycled paper.
